The subject of glory is very deep. Every individual created by God has a glory and everyone’s glory is unique. The Bible makes it clear that there are different kinds of glory.

1 Corinthians 15:38-41Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)

But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. There are also celestial bodies and bodies terrestrial.” but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

Exodus 33:18Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)

And he said, I beseech thee shew me thy glory.

In the Bible passage above, Moses asked God to show him His glory because he knew that once he has access to the glory of God, his life would never remain the same.

The issue of glory is so important that even God Himself guards His own glory jealously.

God says in Isaiah 42:8Open in Logos Bible Software (if available):

I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

God says lie will not share His glory with another. The word “glory” is an interesting word. Glory means so many things: it means honour, a distinguished quality. Glory means outstanding. Glory means magnificence.

The Bible also makes it crystal clear that there is the glory of God. The glory of God means the special manifestation of the revelation of the divine power. It means the physical signs of God’s presence in a person‘s life. The glory of God means the glorious presence of God that travels from His throne to shine on one. It means the overshadowing power of God that can protect, deliver, empower and suit a person. The glory of God incubates refreshes and prospers a person.

When the glory of God is upon your life, you don’t need to pray about deliverance; you don’t need to pray about healing and prosperity because the glory of God is enough to give you everything. The glory of God is the seal that protects the saints. It is the protective, preservative, glorious presence of God. It is a divine aura surrounding a person. It is the tabernacle of God into your life, it is having access into the mysteries of God.

It is a tragedy if you don’t encounter the glory of God; it will be unfortunate if the enemy has taken the glory of God away from your life— Acts 12:21-23Open in Logos Bible Software (if available): “And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost. ”

Herod made a mistake and the angel of the Lord smote him. Herod put James to death. He planned to cut off Peter’s head. When he found out that Peter had escaped, he killed the sixteen soldiers that guarded Peter. Herod caused sixteen funeral services. He created sixteen widows and sixteen fatherless homes. Despite all his sins, God never did anything to him. However, the day he tampered with the glory of God Almighty, Herod received swift judgement.

This shows how serious God guards His glory.

As far as man is concerned, there are four kinds of glory.

Glory given to you by the LORD: It is part of what God has and has given to you; His glory radiating upon your life, just like He did for Moses.

Inherited glory.

Acquired glory.

lnborn glory.

The Bible says that God’s ultimate purpose for you is to carry His glory. Every man has deposited glory. Your glory is your shining forth.

Your glory is your tangible virtue. Your glory is your internal Moses; the Moses God has deposited in you for the days of trouble. Your

glory is your destiny promotion; it is your quota of divine excellence planted in you.

Your glory is your unique capacity. Your glory is what you can do but you have not done yet. Your glory is the star of your destiny. Your glory magnetises favour unto you. Your glory is your urge for greatness. lt is the positive aura that God has used to surround you.

The trouble about glory is that it can be stolen. It can be transferred, it can be lost, it can fade away, it can sink, it can be killed, destroyed,

buried or turned to shame. The devil’s agenda is to bury the glory of man. When somebody goes from grace to grass, his glory has been buried.

When somebody is suffering from poverty of clear thinking; when the person cannot think clearly about the consequences of the actions he is taking, this means the person’s glory has been buried.

You need to surrender your life to Jesus Christ: You need to completely surrender your life to Jesus. When you surrender your life to Jesus, all beggarly powers are swept away. Perhaps there is something you are using to gain power, that thing will help you to bury your glory if you don’t surrender to Jesus.

You need to obey completely: You must do what God wants you to do. You must hearken to His voice. You must obey God in everything He says you should do.

You need to pray recovery prayers to recover what the enemy has stolen from you: There is no gentle way of arresting anything evil. The only way to arrest evil is through violent prayers.

Beloved, in this year of supernatural ease and double honour, the God that answers by fire will make your glory to shine and your joy shall be full, in the name of Jesus.

Father, I thank You because You are good and Your mercy endures forever, in the name of Jesus.

Blood of Jesus, avail and prevail for me this month, in the name of Jesus.

O God arise, baptise me with Your Spirit and fire in the name of Jesus.

O God arise and baptise me with the oil of unprecedented favour. in the name of Jesus.

Any power, programmed against my glory, die, in the name of Jesus.

Every good road closed against me, open by fire, in the name of Jesus.

O God, by Your name JAH, let my glory manifest and shine ceaselessly, in the name of Jesus.

Any cage of darkness where my (destiny/business/career/marriage/ministry/finance) has been shut, I force you open, in the name of Jesus.

Where is the Lord God of Elijah? Arise, bombard my life with multiple breakthroughs this month, in the name of Jesus.

Father, Let Your peace that passes all understanding overshadow my life, in the name of Jesus.

Open Heaven 13th May 2021 Thursday – Hearken Unto God

Open Heaven 13th May 2021

Open Heaven 13th May 2021 Thursday Devotional Guide By Pastor E.A Adeboye

TOPIC: Hearken Unto God

“Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.” – (Mark 14:38)

READ: Mark 14:37-38 (KJV)
37. And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?

  1. Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

Open Heaven 13th May 2021 Thursday Devotional MESSAGE:

It is always good to pay close attention to instructions given by anyone you consider to be your guide or guardian. More often, we miss many opportunities, breakthroughs and victories because we fail to pay attention to the details of the instructions given to us.

The apostles of old also struggled with this lack of adequate attention to detailed instructions and we must learn from them. When our Lord came face to face with the reality of the cross, He admitted that it was not an easy burden to bear (Mark 14:34). There is only one way to pass the tests of these present times – prayer. He went to pray and told the disciples to do the same though not for Him, but themselves.

In our memory verse today, Jesus said they should watch and pray so as not to enter into temptation but they were busy sleeping.

At a point, Jesus was so moved by their insensitivity to the reality at hand that He said to Peter “Simon, sleepest thou? Couldest not thou watch one hour?” – (Mark 14:37).

Beloved, to make it to the end of our Christian race, let us pay close attention to the details of the Lord’s injunctions and we shall be glad we did. When the Lord said “Bring ye all the tithes to the storehouse” – Malachi 3:10, He meant all the tithes. You do not need an Advanced Learners Dictionary to understand what ‘all means. It is clear that in this case, ‘all’ means everything that makes up one tenth of your income. The Bible says in (1 Corinthians 11:6):
For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

Here, Apostle Paul did not say much on why a woman should cover her head while praying or prophesying. However, a conscientious child of God would not press for too many details before she jumps at this simple instruction of covering the head while praying. We should learn to hearken to the word of God whether it is convenient to do so or not.

Paying close attention to the details of God’s instructions can make the difference between speedy results and delayed blessings. God asked Abraham to leave his entire family and he obeyed but not completely as he took Lot – his nephew along with him. The manifestation of God’s promise in the life of Abraham did not come to pass until Lot separated from him. Hearken unto God.

Father, please give me the grace to pay attention to the details of Your instructions, even when I do not understand them fully, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Judges 8-9

HYMN 11 – I Need Thee Every Hour

  1. I need Thee every hour,
    Most gracious Lord;
    No tender voice like Thine
    Can peace afford.

I need Thee, Oh, I need Thee;
Every hour I need Thee!
Oh, bless me now, my Saviour,
I come to Thee.

  1. I need Thee every hour,
    Stay Thou near by;
    Temptations lose their power
    When Thou art nigh.
  2. I need Thee every hour,
    In joy or pain;
    Come quickly, and abide
    Or life is vain.
  3. I need Thee every hour,
    Teach me Thy will;
    And Thy rich promises
    In me fulfill.

TOPIC: Love in His Voice

Scripture: And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left (Isaiah 30:21).

Rhapsody of Realities 13th May 2021 Thursday Message

The Lord Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27). So, you can’t miss the voice of God talking to you. There’s one distinguishing element in His voice that makes it unmistakable: Love!

Let’s review His love-nature, as penned for us in the Scriptures. 1 John 4:7-8 says, “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” Verse 16 further tells us, “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”

These verses reveal that love is the totality of God’s nature. This is much more than someone having love in his heart or the ability to love; rather, it means God is love personified. He’s not a God of love; He is love.

Everything He does is from His love-nature. Therefore, whenever He speaks, you’ll always hear the voice of love. Even His reprimands and judgments are in love. Everything about Him emanates from love. That’s why, when God talks to you, if you aren’t rebellious, you’ll always hear Love’s voice in your spirit.

As an offspring of Love, you have it in you to respond to Love; to hear and respond to Him in love. The Bible tells us, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us” (1 John 4:18-19).

I respond to the voice of God in my spirit that emanates from His love-nature, in His instruction, directions, correction and reprimands. Also, His love is expressed through me today; my communication, actions and all that emanate from me are expressions of the love-nature of Christ that’s in my spirit. Hallelujah!

MFM Daily Devotional 13 May 2021 – Lessons from the Life of Daniel (2)

MFM Daily Devotional 13th May 2021

MFM Daily Devotional 13 May 2021 Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional by Dr. D.K Olukoya

TOPIC: Lessons from the Life of Daniel (2)

Fire Scripture
Daniel 1:3-20

Memory verse
I Timothy 4:12 – “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

MFM Daily Devotional 13 May 2021 Thursday Outline
In our last study, we examined the life of Daniel based on self-discipline and perseverance. These qualities went a long way in assisting him to achieve great success both in human government and the divine agenda.

Today’s study will focus on his relationship with God, the outcome and further lessons for us as children of God. The Bible affirms in the sixth chapter of Daniel that part of his daily routine was to kneel towards Jerusalem from his window and pray to God three times a day. Of course, this became the reason he was thrown into the lion’s den.

Everything in Daniel’s life revolved around God. Christians today can learn from this example. Many have heard the analogy of a wheel on a bike. The case for far too many Christians is that instead of being the central part that all the spokes revolve around, God is merely another spoke. He’s merely a part of our lives.

This was not the case with Daniel, nor should it be the case with us in our Christian walks today. God should be the fundamental, most important part of our lives, with everything else revolving around Him. Unfortunately it is easy for God not to be in the forefront of our minds most of the day.

Sometimes, He simply enters our thoughts every now and then when we pray before a meal or when we sit through a Bible class. This is not the way we should treat someone whose incredible grace saved us. We are supposed to love God with ALL of our hearts, souls, and minds. Don’t push God back to just being a part of your life.

As shown in the life of Daniel, He needs to be the central part of your life that everything else revolves around.

Motivational Quote
Don’t push God back to just being a part of your life. He needs to be the central part of your life that everything else revolves around.

Prophetic Word
Any spell or enchantment that is destroying your glory shall die, in the name of Jesus.

I want to be like Jesus, my Lord

  1. More about Jesus would I know,
    More of His grace to others show,
    More of His saving fullness see,
    More of His love who died for me.

More, more about Jesus,
More, more about Jesus;
More of His saving fullness see,
More of His love who died for me!
O to be like Thee, Blessed Redeemer,
I want to be like Jesus, my Lord.

  1. More about Jesus let me learn,
    More of His holy will discern;
    Spirit of God, my teacher be,
    Showing the things of Christ to me.
  2. More about Jesus; in His Word,
    Holding communion with my Lord,
    Hearing His voice in ev’ry line,
    Making each faithful saying mine.
  3. More about Jesus on His throne,
    Riches in glory all His own,
    More of His kingdom’s sure increase,
    More of His coming Prince of Peace.

Prayer Points

1. O Lord, help me to walk close to You, in the name of Jesus.
2. O Lord, remove worldliness from my heart, in the name of Jesus.
3. Father, give me the grace and the power to have positive influence on this generation, in the name of Jesus.

4. Father, make me a perfect example of a believer in word and deed, in the name of Jesus.
5. Father, henceforth, I give You a permanent place of pre-eminence in my life, in the name of Jesus.
