MFM Mountain Top Life Devotional 19th April 2021 Monday Message By Pastor D.k Olukoya

TOPIC: Caleb’s Victorious Faith (2)

Fire Scripture
Heb. 11:1-11

Memory verse
Heb. 11:6 – “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

MFM Mountain Top Life Devotional 19th April 2021 Outline
Without faith, there is no meaningful thing you can get from God. If you come to God, you must believe that He is able to do what you want from Him. Our faith in Him gladdens His heart and He can do more than we expect. In Eph. 3:20, the Bible says, “Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”

Caleb’s stand and report can be likened to the above scriptures. Just like Abraham in Gen. 15:6 who believed in the Lord and it was counted unto him for righteousness. In the Old Testament, faith implied two things: trust in or reliance on God and loyalty or faithfulness to Him.

Caleb saw the Promised Land they went to spy like the other ten spies, but he also remembered that God started them out with a great deliverance in Egypt and at the Red Sea, when all hope seemed to be lost. He saw the giants as meat for the Israelites and not the other way round. As a result of this, he was preserved.

Without faith in God, you will become a prey to the enemy. Without faith in God’s promises, you will be a victim all the days of your life and even lose what you have already received. Are you ready to be courageous like Caleb? Then the Promised Land is your starting point.

God is willing to preserve you until that promise you believe in comes to pass. The fear and negative report of the ten spies robbed them entry into the Promised Land while the victorious faith of Caleb gave Him access to the Promised Land.

Beloved, get rid of fear and the grasshopper mentality today. They are counter-productive. They will rob you of the needed strength and courage to forge ahead and succeed. They will fill you with discouragement and birth failure. Rather, embrace the victorious faith of Caleb.

Since God has spoken and given you His promise, believe that you can do it. You can possess that possession.

Believe also that, though giants may be on your way to hinder you, God is with you and will surely give you victory.

Motivational Quote
Faith consists of believing when it is beyond the power of reason to believe.

Prophetic Word
When you open your two hands in faith, you will receive dumbfounding blessings, in the name of Jesus.

HYMN – Begone, unbelief; My Saviour is near

Daily Reading for Tuesday May 18, 2021
Reading 1, Acts 20:17-27
Responsorial Psalm, Psalms 68:10-11, 20-21
Gospel, John 17:1-11

Reading 1, Acts 20:17-27
17 From Miletus he sent for the elders of the church of Ephesus.

18 When they arrived he addressed these words to them: ‘You know what my way of life has been ever since the first day I set foot among you in Asia,

19 how I have served the Lord in all humility, with all the sorrows and trials that came to me through the plots of the Jews.

20 I have not hesitated to do anything that would be helpful to you; I have preached to you and instructed you both in public and in your homes,

21 urging both Jews and Greeks to turn to God and to believe in our Lord Jesus.

22 ‘And now you see me on my way to Jerusalem in captivity to the Spirit; I have no idea what will happen to me there,

23 except that the Holy Spirit, in town after town, has made it clear to me that imprisonment and persecution await me.

24 But I do not place any value on my own life, provided that I complete the mission the Lord Jesus gave me — to bear witness to the good news of God’s grace.

25 ‘I now feel sure that none of you among whom I have gone about proclaiming the kingdom will ever see my face again.

26 And so on this very day I swear that my conscience is clear as far as all of you are concerned,

27 for I have without faltering put before you the whole of God’s purpose.

Catholic Daily Mass Reading 18th May 2021 Online

Responsorial Psalm, Psalms 68:10-11, 20-21
10 Your family found a home, which you in your generosity provided for the humble.

11 The Lord gave a command, the good news of a countless army.

20 This God of ours is a God who saves; from Lord Yahweh comes escape from death;

21 but God smashes the head of his enemies, the long-haired skull of the prowling criminal.

Gospel, John 17:1-11
1 After saying this, Jesus raised his eyes to heaven and said: Father, the hour has come: glorify your Son so that your Son may glorify you;

2 so that, just as you have given him power over all humanity, he may give eternal life to all those you have entrusted to him.

3 And eternal life is this: to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

4 I have glorified you on earth by finishing the work that you gave me to do.

5 Now, Father, glorify me with that glory I had with you before ever the world existed.

6 I have revealed your name to those whom you took from the world to give me. They were yours and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.

7 Now at last they have recognised that all you have given me comes from you

8 for I have given them the teaching you gave to me, and they have indeed accepted it and know for certain that I came from you, and have believed that it was you who sent me.

9 It is for them that I pray. I am not praying for the world but for those you have given me, because they belong to you.

10 All I have is yours and all you have is mine, and in them I am glorified.

11 I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep those you have given me true to your name, so that they may be one like us.

Open Heaven 18th May 2021 Tuesday Devotional Guide By Pastor E.A Adeboye

TOPIC: Have Faith, Not Fear(Open Heaven 18th May 2021 Tuesday Devotional)

MEMORISE:
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” – (2 Timothy 1:7)

READ: Psalm 91:5-6 (KJV)
5. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

  1. Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

Open Heaven 18 May 2021 Tuesday Devotional MESSAGE:

If you have given your life to Jesus, then you should have nothing to fear because you will begin to dwell in the secret place of the Most High where you are assured of His protection. There was no fear in man until he allowed the devil in. It was when the devil convinced Adam and Eve to disobey God that fear came in. After Adam and Eve sinned, they had to hide themselves when they heard God coming. When God called, Adam said he heard God’s voice and he was afraid (Genesis 3:10).

Fear is the opposite of faith. While faith means that you believe God, fear means that you believe the devil. In other words, if you do not have faith, then you have fear. Fear belongs to the children of the devil. However, once you cross from the side of the devil to the side of God, there will be no more fear. This is because fear comes from darkness and since Jesus is Light, He will dispel all forms of darkness. When Jesus comes into your life, rather than fear, He gives you the Spirit of love, power, joy and of a sound mind. Romans 8:14-15 says:
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Children of God are guided by the Holy Spirit. Jesus has promised to give all His children the power of the Holy Ghost so as not to be afraid. If you are a child of God, you have no business with fear. From time immemorial, God has always put a dividing line between those who serve Him wholeheartedly and those who refuse to. He always rewards everyone according to their works. If you are righteous, He rewards you so that you can remain so, if you are living in sin, He arranges for you to forsake wickedness and join the righteous family of God. Psalm 121:7 says:
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

With all these wonderful promises, you have no cause to fear as God’s child. Whatever is causing you to panic, the Lord will destroy it in your life and family in Jesus’ name. Do not be afraid, God is your refuge and the Present Help in the time of need (Psalm 46:1).

ACTION POINT:
Check your life and prayerfully do away with whatever brings fear, panic and anxiety.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Mark 8-9

HYMNAL:
HYMN 23 – STANDING ON THE PROMISES OF CHRIST MY KING

  1. Standing on the promises of Christ my King,
Through eternal ages let His praises ring:
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
Standing on the promises of God.

REFRAIN:
Standing, Standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Saviour;
Standing, Standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.

  1. Standing on the promises that cannot fail,
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail
By the living word of God I shall prevail,
Standing on the promises of God.
  2. Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,
Bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord,
Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,
Standing on the promises of God.
  3. Standing on the promises I cannot fall,
Listening every moment to the Spirit’s call,
Resting in my Saviour as my all in all,
Standing on the promises of God.

Rhapsody of Realities 18th May 2021 Tuesday – His Will is in Force

Rhapsody of Realities 18th May 2021 Tuesday Devotional Guide By Pastor Chris Oyahkilome

TOPIC: His Will is in Force

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come (1 Corinthians 11:26).

Rhapsody of Realities 18th May 2021 Tuesday Message

The word “shew” isn’t exactly the same as “show”; to show is to display. Of course, it also means, in a certain way, to declare, to make known. But more typically, “shew” which is translated from the Greek word “kataggello” is to announce, to proclaim. When we take the Holy Communion, we’re announcing or proclaiming the Lord’s death. We’re being emphatic that the testator died; and as a result, His testament (His will) is in force.

That testament left you an estate; everything He owned, He gave to you; it’s declared in His will. A will is the last disposition of a man that died. All you need to enjoy what’s in the will is proof of death. Once he’s dead, the testament becomes effective. When we take the Communion, we’re reaffirming the Lord’s death, declaring that His testament is now in force. There’s no argument; Satan can’t stand against that. Hallelujah!

Every time you have the opportunity to participate in the Holy Communion, it’s an announcement of glory, of your triumphant life in Christ Jesus. You’re declaring that all blessings of the New Testament are your present-hour reality. You’re in dominion and walking in glory; nothing has power over you.

No sickness, disease or infirmity can thrive in your body. His blood was shed for you that you may live. And now, you live, because He lives. This is the eternal significance of the Communion; it’s an announcement that His testament is in force.

CONFESSION
Holy Father, I thank you for the blood of Jesus that was shed for me, that I may have, and live the God-life. I celebrate my oneness with you. No sickness, disease or infirmity can thrive in my body. All the blessings of the New Testament are manifest in my life, being sealed in, and guaranteed by, the blood of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!
