MFM Mountain Top Life Devotional 12 March 2021 Friday Message By Dr. D.K Olukoya

TOPIC: Remove the Stumbling Block (1)

Fire Scripture
Matt. 23:1-13

Memory verse
Isa. 57:14 – And shall say, cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling block out of the way of my people.

MFM Mountain Top Life Devotional 12th March 2021 Outline
God is called the Way Maker. The Bible tells us that He made a way in the wilderness for the children of Israel. One of the names of Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. One of the essential things involved in making a way is the removal of stumbling blocks, obstacles and impediments.

Stumbling blocks are also things that stand in the way of men to hinder them from moving forward into the Promised Land or moving upward to their next level. The Red Sea constituted a stumbling block to the children of Israel in their journey to Canaan (the Promised Land). Also, the highly fortified walls of Jericho stood as a stumbling block to Joshua and the children of Israel.

Though they had got close to the Promised Land, they could not enter to possess it because of the seemingly impregnable walls. It took the intervention of God to part the Red Sea and to demolish the walls of Jericho. God still specialises in removing stumbling blocks today. He will remove any power standing in your way or putting stumbling blocks in your way, in the name of Jesus.

Sometimes, the enemy turns himself into a stumbling block and hinders people from moving forward. At other times, he puts stumbling blocks (spiritual and physical barriers or impediments) in people’s ways to prevent them from reaching their goals or their next level. Stumbling blocks are evil instruments of delay and denial. They hinder people’s desired freedom, change and breakthrough. They make people to live below God’s standard. God detests stumbling block; He loves liberty for His people.

In Isaiah 57:14, He commanded, “…Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take the stumbling block out of the way of my people.” The cry “cast ye up, cast ye up; remove the stones (obstacles); level the hills; take up any obstruction out of the way” is often heard before the coming of a king and priest unto God. Henceforth, angels and men will go before you to remove stumbling blocks (obstacles) from your way.

Your journey to greatness and fulfilment will no longer be hindered, in the name of Jesus.

Motivational Quote
We should be breaking down barriers, not building walls.

Prophetic Word
I decree divine acceleration into all areas of your life, in the name of Jesus.

HYMN
O troubled heart, there is a home

1. O troubled heart, there is a home
Beyond the reach of toil and care;
A home where changes never come;
Who would not fain be resting there?

Chorus
O wait, meekly wait, and murmur not,
O wait, meekly wait, and murmur not,
O wait, meekly wait, and murmur not.

2. Yet when bowed down beneath the load
By heaven allowed, thine earthly lot;
Look up! thou’ it reach that blest abode
Wait, meekly wait, and murmur not

3. Toil on, nor deem, tho’ sore it be,
One sigh unheard, one prayer forgot;
The day of rest will dawn for thee;
Wait, meekly wait, and murmur not

Highly Exalted by Naffymar

UK based urban gospel artist, producer and songwriter Naffymar, is out with a spanking new record titled “Highly Exalted”.
Coming three months after the release of her chart breaking House of God EP with songs that have now become anthems for Christian celebrations, the Music Graduate shows her versatility in this worship ballad.

With the synergy of South African based producer Cliff M and Nigeria’s mix and master engineer Osadebey, Naffymar seems to have cracked the code to leave listeners in total surrender in worship to God.

Catholic Daily Mass Reading Wednesday 7th April 2021 Online

Daily Reading for Wednesday April 7, 2021
Reading 1, Acts 3:1-10
Responsorial Psalm, Psalms 105:1-2, 3-4, 6-7, 8-9
Gospel, Luke 24:13-35

Reading 1, Acts 3:1-10

1 Once, when Peter and John were going up to the Temple for the prayers at the ninth hour,

2 it happened that there was a man being carried along. He was a cripple from birth; and they used to put him down every day near the Temple entrance called the Beautiful Gate so that he could beg from the people going in.

3 When this man saw Peter and John on their way into the Temple he begged from them.

4 Peter, and John too, looked straight at him and said, ‘Look at us.’

5 He turned to them expectantly, hoping to get something from them,

6 but Peter said, ‘I have neither silver nor gold, but I will give you what I have: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, walk!’

7 Then he took him by the right hand and helped him to stand up. Instantly his feet and ankles became firm

8 he jumped up, stood, and began to walk, and he went with them into the Temple, walking and jumping and praising God.

9 Everyone could see him walking and praising God,

10 and they recognised him as the man who used to sit begging at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple. They were all astonished and perplexed at what had happened to him.

Catholic Daily Mass Reading Wednesday 7th April 2021 Online

Responsorial Psalm, Psalms 105:1-2, 3-4, 6-7, 8-9
1 Alleluia! Give thanks to Yahweh, call on his name, proclaim his deeds to the peoples!

2 Sing to him, make music for him, recount all his wonders!

3 Glory in his holy name, let the hearts that seek Yahweh rejoice!

4 Seek Yahweh and his strength, tirelessly seek his presence!

6 Stock of Abraham, his servant, children of Jacob whom he chose!

7 He is Yahweh our God, his judgements touch the whole world.

8 He remembers his covenant for ever, the promise he laid down for a thousand generations,

9 which he concluded with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac.

Gospel, Luke 24:13-35
13 Now that very same day, two of them were on their way to a village called Emmaus, seven miles from Jerusalem,

14 and they were talking together about all that had happened.

15 And it happened that as they were talking together and discussing it, Jesus himself came up and walked by their side;

16 but their eyes were prevented from recognising him.

17 He said to them, ‘What are all these things that you are discussing as you walk along?’ They stopped, their faces downcast.

18 Then one of them, called Cleopas, answered him, ‘You must be the only person staying in Jerusalem who does not know the things that have been happening there these last few days.’

19 He asked, ‘What things?’ They answered, ‘All about Jesus of Nazareth, who showed himself a prophet powerful in action and speech before God and the whole people;

20 and how our chief priests and our leaders handed him over to be sentenced to death, and had him crucified.

21 Our own hope had been that he would be the one to set Israel free. And this is not all: two whole days have now gone by since it all happened;

22 and some women from our group have astounded us: they went to the tomb in the early morning,

23 and when they could not find the body, they came back to tell us they had seen a vision of angels who declared he was alive.

24 Some of our friends went to the tomb and found everything exactly as the women had reported, but of him they saw nothing.’

25 Then he said to them, ‘You foolish men! So slow to believe all that the prophets have said!

26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer before entering into his glory?’

27 Then, starting with Moses and going through all the prophets, he explained to them the passages throughout the scriptures that were about himself.

28 When they drew near to the village to which they were going, he made as if to go on;

29 but they pressed him to stay with them saying, ‘It is nearly evening, and the day is almost over.’ So he went in to stay with them.

30 Now while he was with them at table, he took the bread and said the blessing; then he broke it and handed it to them.

31 And their eyes were opened and they recognised him; but he had vanished from their sight.

32 Then they said to each other, ‘Did not our hearts burn within us as he talked to us on the road and explained the scriptures to us?’

33 They set out that instant and returned to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven assembled together with their companions,

34 who said to them, ‘The Lord has indeed risen and has appeared to Simon.’

35 Then they told their story of what had happened on the road and how they had recognised him at the breaking of bread.
