#EndSARS: Oyo Youths suspends protest

Oyo Youths campaigning against bad governance has suspended the ongoing protest to ensure proper coordination of the young people.

 

The group in a communique expressed displeasure over the violence in Ojoo area of Ibadan and condemned the Lagos massacre which claimed lives and property.

 

The group sincerely sympathise with the families of those that lost their lives in Ojoo and prays that God will comfort their families. While praying for quick recorvery for those hospitalised

 

The youths in a statement signed by the Convener, Kunle Odujare, said “Oyo youths are responsible and would ensure that protesters henceforth will be safe, as measures are being put in place to protest lives of Nigerians and prevent further breakdown of law and order.”

 

According to them, youths in Oyo State which is the pacesetter state will ensure that the process of expressing their minds on the need for police reforms, bad governance, infrastructral development among others will be maturely and decently communicated without crisis or causing mayhem in the state.

 

The youths also emphasised that Nigerian youths will not be tired to continue the protest until a better Nigeria is achieved.

 

The group also advised those blocking the roads not to embark on such anymore but coordinatedly protest without making live miserable for the people.

 

They added that on no account will Ibadan protest will be violent, calling on other youths in the state to join the protest.

 

Ibadan youth protesters called on the media to continue to support the protest and give a voice to the protest, the group recognise the efficiency of the media and believe that the media will give the country an opportunity to be greater.

Titan Farms Visits Orphanage Homes, Commission Community Projects, Hosts Novelty Match Over Celebration of One Year Anniversary

Residents of some communities in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, have benefited from the community projects facilitated by Titan Farms, in celebration of its one year anniversary.

To mark the one year anniversary, the management of Titan Farms held her first day event featuring community outreach, community projects commissioning, among others.

The first day event which held on the 30th of May 2021, saw the visitation of Titan Farms representatives to two orphanage homes, the commissioning of 3 borehole projects in different communities in Ibadan, and a novelty match.

The orphanage homes visited were Tabitha Homes, JoyceB, and Heritage Homes, Oluyole. And on the other hand, Liberty Academy community, Aare Alasa community in Apata, and Oniyefun community in Ona-Ara local government area were amongst the communities visited.

Management of both formal homes expressed appreciation towards the kind gestures extended to them by Titan Farms, and added that the brand was thoughtful enough to come lend a helping hand to the needy.

All the communities expressed profound gratitude to the brand as members of Aare Alasa community pledged to be partners with the brand.

Furthermore, Titan representatives expressed gladness towards the reception they got in the communities, and thanked Ibadan especially for recieving the brand with open arms.

The novelty match, which was held at the Pioneer Sports Club, Jericho, featured a face-off between Titan Farms and Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria, (SWAN) Oyo state chapter.

During the football match, which was very interesting and lively with cheerful fans, the CEO of Titan Farms, Engr Gbenga Eyiolawi scored a goal against SWAN, which lead to a thunderous applause from the audience. The NUJ Chairman (Oyo State Chapter) was also present at the football match amongst other notable captains of industry and well wishers.
