Gospel, Matthew 6:7-15

Reading 1, Isaiah 55:10-11
10 For, as the rain and the snow come down from the sky and do not return before having watered the earth, fertilising it and making it germinate to provide seed for the sower and food to eat,

11 so it is with the word that goes from my mouth: it will not return to me unfulfilled or before having carried out my good pleasure and having achieved what it was sent to do.

Catholic Daily Mass Reading Tuesday 23rd February 2021 Online

Responsorial Psalm, Psalms 34:4-5, 6-7, 16-17, 18-19
4 I seek Yahweh and he answers me, frees me from all my fears.

5 Fix your gaze on Yahweh and your face will grow bright, you will never hang your head in shame.

6 A pauper calls out and Yahweh hears, saves him from all his troubles.

7 The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and rescues them.

16 But Yahweh’s face is set against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.

17 They cry in anguish and Yahweh hears, and rescues them from all their troubles.

18 Yahweh is near to the broken-hearted, he helps those whose spirit is crushed.

19 Though hardships without number beset the upright, Yahweh brings rescue from them all.

Gospel, Matthew 6:7-15
7 ‘In your prayers do not babble as the gentiles do, for they think that by using many words they will make themselves heard.

8 Do not be like them; your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

9 So you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be held holy,

10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.

11 Give us today our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven those who are in debt to us.

13 And do not put us to the test, but save us from the Evil One.

14 ‘Yes, if you forgive others their failings, your heavenly Father will forgive you yours;

15 but if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive your failings either.

Rhapsody of Realities 24th February 2021 – See the Word in Pictures

Published

on

Rhapsody of Realities 24th February 2021 Devotional Guide By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TOPIC: See the Word in Pictures

Scripture: While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18).

Rhapsody of Realities 24th February 2021 Devotional Message:

When you study the Scriptures, learn to do so with pictures; see with the eyes of your spirit; believe and act accordingly. It’s the blessings that your spirit takes a hold of that’ll manifest in your life. Therefore, as you listen to, or study the Word, visualize your victory, prosperity, health, peace, progress and success from within, and affirm accordingly.

Before the physical manifestation of the glory and victories that you desire in life, you must see them first within you. Once you can see it from within, then it’s yours. You can never have it on the outside if you didn’t first have it within. That’s where some have missed it. They want to see first with their physical eyes before calling it real; that’s not faith. Faith is calling real that which the physical senses can’t perceive.

For example, God said to Abraham, “Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee…” (Genesis 17:5-6). Abraham first had to visualise himself as the father of many nations. At the time God spoke to him, he was ninety-nine years old, and Sarah his wife, was equally old and barren. Nevertheless, the Bible says, “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God” (Romans 4:20). In Genesis 15:5, the Lord had said to him, “…Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and … So shall thy seed be.” Abraham believed. He saw the picture of his uncountable descendants—numerous as the stars—from within.

What is it that you desire in your life today? Is it a child? See it inside first. Is it the growth and expansion of your church, a new job or business? Create the picture and take possession in the spirit, and with your spirit, first, because it’s already real in the spirit-realm. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION
Dear Father, thank you for the gift to comprehend the wonderful blessings you’ve prepared for me to enjoy in Christ. I visualize my victory, prosperity, health, peace, progress and success in your Word by the power of the Holy Spirit, and take possession of these realities through my faith proclamations. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places, and indeed, I have a goodly heritage. Hallelujah!

MFM Devotional 24th February 2021 – God’s Picture of the Christian Home (2)

Published

MFM Devotional 24th February 2021 (Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional Guide By Dr D.K Olukoya

TOPIC: God’s Picture of the Christian Home (2)

Fire Scripture
Prov. 3:5-8

Memory verse
Proverbs 3: 6 “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

MFM Devotional 24th February 2021 Outline

It is necessary to be guided by God in such an important issue of life as marriage (Prov. 3:5-7;Jer.10:23). There are conditions we must fulfil before God will guide us (Matthew 6:25-32, Psalm 66:18). You shall give full attention to the teaching of God’s word on how not to and how to find a help meet. Let us first examine the former. I call them carnal and destructive methods of choosing a partner.

They include: walking by sight (Judges 14:13), carnal choice motivated by lust and sin, selection based on ungodly parental command, prayerless approach and tribal sentiment (Judges 21:16-20). Others in this category are fake prophets and prophecies, personal decision lacking divine approval and asking with an idol in your heart (Deut. 7:14).

Beloved, choosing a spouse the wrong way has several grave consequences. Let us examine some of them:
First, the New Testament commands against unequal yoke. Who is an unbeliever? The prosperous man who is not born-again, the beautiful lady who is not Christlike, the well-behaved person who has not given his life to Jesus, the religious, dutiful, conscientious church-goer who has never truly repented, the “believer” who is not a new-creature, the “convert” who is not free from sin, the “Pentecostal” who speaks in tongues but lacks divine love for God and brethren, the backslider who is no more in Christ.

It is ungodly for any believer to elope with a woman or man, no matter the divergent and unyielding stance of the parents (Gen 31:20-51). People in such a situation must pray and trust in the Lord, who gave the revelation of His will, to finish the work, for with God all things are possible. The church will not join a couple in marriage, where one of them had been married and the partner is alive (Matt. 19:4-6), the lady has not obtained the consent of her parents, the lady is already pregnant, the couple is unequally yoked – one of them is not born again or not a Christian at all.

Leviticus 18:27 says that for all these abominations have the men of the land done which were before you, and the land is defiled. Beloved, I encourage you to trust God and acknowledge Him in all your ways. Your marital life will be a success story.

Motivational Quote
Just as you should not buy a house because of the painting, never marry a man because of handsomeness or a woman because of beauty.

Prophetic Word
The agenda of heaven for your marital life shall not fail, in the name of Jesus.

Hymn
O Happy Home

1. O happy home where Thou art loved the dearest,
Thou loving friend, and Savior of our race,
And where among the guests there never cometh
One who can hold such high and honored place.

2. O happy home where each one serves Thee, lowly,
What ever his appointed work may be,
Till every common task seems great and holy,
When it is done, O Lord, as unto Thee.

3. O happy home where Thou art not forgotten
When joy is over flowing, full, and free;
O happy home where every wounded spirit
Is brought, Physician, Comforter, to Thee.

4. Until at last, when earthly work is ended,
All meet Thee in the blessed home above
From whence Thou camest, where Thou hast ascended,
Thy ever lasting home of peace and love.

TODAY’S PRAYER POINTS

MORNING
1) Holy Spirit, let my marital life be patterned after heaven’s agenda, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2) My marriage shall not lead me to hell fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3) By the blood of Jesus, I overturn every agenda of the enemy to destroy my marital life, in the name of Jesus

Christ.

EVENING
4. By the blood of Jesus, I break the yoke of ancestral evil power upon my marital life, in the name of Jesus Christ.
5. Holy Spirit, ignite my marital prayer altar with Your fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
6. Holy Spirit, reveal the will of God to us in my home, in the name of Jesus Christ.
7. My marriage shall not be wasted by the enemy, in the name of Jesus Christ

Rhapsody of Realities 23 February 2021 Devotional – Living for His Glory

Published

on

Rhapsody of Realities 23 February 2021 Devotional Guide By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TOPIC: Living for His Glory

Scripture: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again (2 Corinthians 5:15).

Rhapsody of Realities 23rd February 2021 Devotional Message:

In these last days, there’s only one thing that matters: living for the Lord; living for His glory; living a life of purpose. Jesus showed us the example to follow in this regard. In John 17:4, He said, “I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.”

That ought to be your thinking as well; glorifying the Father should be your passion and purpose for living. How do you glorify the Father? It’s by doing His will; doing that which He commits to you and finishing the work. Have you discovered His purpose for your life? Are you about His work?

The purpose of the Father is the salvation of the whole world. That’s the reason He sent Jesus. And your purpose in life is connected to this. No matter what you do in life, if you’re not reaching the lost and winning souls, you’re living an empty life. The Bible says God is unwilling that any should perish but that all men should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). You bring Him glory in making this happen.

He seeks to beautify the lives of those around you, and lead them into righteousnes through you; that’s living a purposeful life. It doesn’t matter how fruitful or effective you might have been in other areas, you must seek to excel in soul winning, in taking the Gospel to the lost, hopeless, hurting and downtrodden, not just in your world, but also in the regions beyond.

A life well lived, a successful life that pleases God, is one that achieves those things God destined you to do. Therefore, bring Him glory by being effectual in leading men to righteousness.

CONFESSION
Dear Father, I thank you for giving me the opportunity and ability to influence those in my world with the Gospel. I go forth today, in the fullness of the blessings of Christ, impacting my world with your grace and righteousness, turning men from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
